Terminal Access Controller Access-Control System Plus
TACACS+ is a AAA protocol used mainly to control administrator access to network devices like routers and switches. Unlike RADIUS, it separates authentication, authorization, and accounting and can authorize individual commands. It originated at Cisco and was later documented by the IETF.
