Continuity of Operations
Planning that ensures an organization, especially a government agency, can keep performing its essential functions during and after a disruption such as a disaster or cyberattack. COOP plans cover alternate facilities, succession of leadership, backup communications, and recovery of vital records. In the US federal space it is governed by FEMA continuity directives.
