Privileged Identity Management
PIM focuses on governing which identities are allowed to hold privileged roles in the first place, often granting them temporarily with approval workflows. It complements privileged access management by handling role assignment, elevation, and review rather than credential storage. The goal is to have zero standing administrative privilege.
