Personal Data Protection Act

governancehard

Singapore's data protection law governing the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data by private sector organizations. It requires consent, purpose limitation, and reasonable security arrangements, and includes a Do Not Call registry. The Personal Data Protection Commission enforces it, with financial penalties for organizations that mishandle data. Several other countries, including Thailand and Malaysia, have similarly named laws.
