NFC

NFC is a short-range wireless technology, built on RFID principles, that works over a few centimeters, familiar from tap-to-pay cards and phones. The tiny range limits remote attacks but does not eliminate them; relay attacks can extend a transaction between a victim's card and a distant reader. It also appears in access badges and device pairing.
