IEC 62443 is the leading international series of standards for securing industrial automation and control systems, developed jointly with ISA. It defines security levels, zone and conduit segmentation models, and requirements for asset owners, integrators, and product vendors. Operators of factories, utilities, and other OT environments use it to structure defenses where a cyber incident can cause physical damage or safety risks.
