Electronic Identification, Authentication and Trust Services
An EU regulation that creates a common legal framework for electronic identities, signatures, seals, and other trust services across member states. It makes qualified electronic signatures legally equivalent to handwritten ones throughout the EU. The eIDAS 2.0 update introduces the European Digital Identity Wallet, letting citizens prove their identity and share credentials across borders.
